A Brief History of Killer Bunnies

Killer Bunnies was invented as a board game in 1989 in Jersey. In the year 2000, it was transformed into a wacky card game with the first prototype of the cards finished and played on February 12th. By the summer of 2000, 52 decks of cards were produced ever so painstakingly, cut and collated by hand and packaged as the AA Series. The name of our company was called Sarsen's Stuff. The AA Series decks were numbered 01 to 50 and two decks were specials. The first ten Series AA decks were shipped to storage (just in case the game ever hit big) but unfortunately were lost in transit and never recovered. Decks numbered 11 through 50 were sold to friends and family mostly who were trying to be supportive.

In September of 2000 a local store here in San Diego (namely Game Empire) took a chance and decided to take six decks and put them on display to see if they would sell. They did and the revised and improved BB Series was quickly made to meet the ever increasing demand. Funding at the time only permitted the production of 50 more sets. We were counting on maybe (yes, maybe) half selling through the holiday season of 2000. By November of 2000, the BB Series was sold out and the CC Series (with even more revisions and improvements) started production. The CC Series was a bit larger run, topping off at 116 decks. These sold from November of 2000 to June of 2001.

In the spring of 2001, Jonathan Young joined the team and designed the highly successful Delta Series. There was absolutely no comparison to the earlier series. The Delta Series also offered Booster Decks and over the next year 300 Starter Decks were sold and 590 Booster Decks in colors Red, Violet, Orange, Green and Khaki.

In May of 2002 Creative Team Alpha signed a licensing deal with Playroom Entertainment, the Delta series was retired and the Epsilon Series was born. And folks, I think that's the last series!

Anyway, each deck that was produced by Sarsen's Stuff was numbered from the AA Series to the Delta Series. Any person who bought a deck and cared to register the number with the company became part of our permanent Bunny Family. Below is the most updated information we have on our early Bunny Family.
